Welcome to the Home of the Blackstone Valley Chapter, #4735, Harley Owner's Group Founded in 1991, we draw our 180+ members from both Southern Massachusetts and Northern Rhode Island. We enthusiastically support and ride annually to raise funds for local charities, such as the Sturdy Memorial and Hasbro Children's Hospitals, and our "Christmas Is For Kids" Toy Run. - November Chapter Meeting
|
|
The November Meeting of the General Membership will be held at the NA Elks on Wednesday, November 12, at 7:30 pm. As this will be the first meeting run by our newly elected Primary Officers, all Members are encouraged to attend. Also, this will be your best opportunity to obtain your tickets for the 2008 BVH Christmas Party. Webmaster John Ciampa is organizing the event this year, and will be at the meeting with the tickets. Also, thanks to all Officers, Road Captains, and Members who volunteered/participated in our 15th Annual Christmas is for Kids Toy Run last weekend. Over 225 bikes showed up to support us, and the run was a great success. Details of what we raised and donated will be announced by Firm at the Chapter meeting.

There will be a Mystery Ride this coming Sunday, November 16, leaving from Man-Mar at 10:00am. Bubba will be the Road Captain. The weather for that day is questionable so far - please check the Swine Line for any last-minute changes or cancellations.

- BVH Chapter Christmas Party The Annual Blackstone Valley HOG Chapter Christmas Party will be held from 6pm to 12am on Saturday, December 6th, 2008, at the Mansfield Holiday Inn. Cocktail hour is 6 to 7, a buffet-style holiday dinner will be served at 7, and there will be a live band. We will be doing a "Yankee Swap" this year, and all Members and Guests attending are each asked to bring a wrapped gift valued at $10.00 or more, suitable for a man or woman. As usual we have a block of rooms reserved for our Members at a discounted rate of $84.00 for the night, which may be booked over the phone with a credit card by calling the hotel at 508-339-2200. Tickets are $25.00 per person for Members, and $35.00 per person for Guests. See John Ciampa for Tickets at the November meeting. Important: Please try to have exact change if paying cash, or write out a check payable to the Chapter. Tickets will only be available until Sunday, November 30, as the hotel needs a final head count by Monday, December 1. Tickets WILL NOT be available after that date, or at the door. |

| If you want to Live By It, all you have to do is join us. Harley-Davidson's don't like to be in the garage during riding season, and we prefer to ride ours. This season is just about over, but keep our message in mind while the snow flies. Think about when the weather breaks in the spring time. Picture yourself taking that cover off of her before she gets mad at you and shining her up. Start the motor and hear the rumble of her V-Twin...Look beyond the end of your driveway...The ROAD is calling YOU. Let's Ride! |

WEBSITE UPDATE, 11/6/08

| - It's tough to be the Webmaster without a computer, which I recently discovered when mine stopped working a few weeks ago. I just bought a new one yesterday, and am trying to get caught up. This put me behind the 8-ball with my work on the Photos Section, but I hope to have good news by the next meeting. I have recently updated the Officer's Page, but a photo of our new Primary Officers won't be taken until the November meeting, and I'll post it as soon as possible after that. - John Ciampa, WebMaster |
